Horse Rider

This is a 2-week class that includes a riding lesson (about 45 minutes) as well as care of the horse and tack.  By completing both classes, Scouts meet all the requirements of the Girl Scout Horse Rider Badge. 

Week 1:		Clips, Combs, and More Getting Ready to Ride—      Use of tack      Halter, hitch, and knot In Good Form—      Mount/Dismount      Walk/Whoa/Turn
Week 2:	Equipment Expert—      Bridles      Saddles Horse Anatomy Horses, Safety, and You In Good Form—      Leg cues      Walk/Trot Transitions

This program is usually held on Saturdays, but we can sometimes accommodate troops during the week.
